Routine OS X Maintenance
The easiest maintenance around is to use Yasu. If you do not have it, click the menu "Utilities" above, and select "Yasu". This will take you to a download page.
After you have downloaded the Stuffit file, it will unstuff to a dmg file, which will probably automatically mount.
If not, double-click the dmg file. Once it is mounted, you will have a plain white hard drive on your desktop. Copy the Yasu Release folder from there to your Applications folder.
Now, quit all open applications and open the Yasu program in the folder you just copied. A window will appear with numerous checkboxes. Just leave them all checked off
and click Run. It will ask for your administrator password. Yes, this is necessary, so don't panic. Once you have entered it, it will start a long process,
so go get a cup of coffee. When it has completed all steps, it will reboot your computer. Congrats, you're done. :) Once a month should be plenty in Panther,
but run it more often if you are having strange issues with your Mac.
